You need a car.  You have a lot of job opportunities around town but you're finding it difficult to get to them all using the bus system and a bike isn't practical.  In an ideal world you would pay cash for your car but in order to work you need to buy one now.  Using credit is dumb.  So, your option is to barter. 

Before you talk to the dealer you want to research the value of the car.  

1. Find the car on Kelly Blue Book.
2. Make sure and document your research on your blog.  You can use the snipping tool to capture a screenshot of the value etc.
3. Make sure you have the Price, Mileage, the Make and the Model of the car. 

You walk into the dealer and find the car you've been looking for.  When you meet with the dealer you negotiate a price that is exactly the KBB value.  

You explain that you're a starving student and that you're willing to pay by working for the dealer until the car is paid off.  You offer your services as an artist and he's in need of some work in that area so he accepts.  He lists the services he needs and together you work out the value.  The final list is below.

This is a high quality car commercial.  The dealer has cars on the lot that need to be sold.  He'd like you to highlight a car and show people the high quality of the car both inside and out, the easy financing, outstanding warranties, and the great service at the dealership.  

30 Second Commercial - $3,000

This is a high quality car commercial.  The dealer has cars on the lot that need to be sold.  He'd like you to highlight a car and show people the high quality of the car both inside and out, the easy financing, outstanding warranties, and the great service at the dealership.  

15 Facebook Overview - $500

The dealer has a Facebook page and wants to put short videos on his page that quickly shows the prospective buyer a car that they click on.  The video should include the interior, exterior, engine, tires, etc.  

Jingle for the radio - $300

Create an original sound clip that can run on the radio.  

“Gears of Joy” T-shirt Design - $500

The dealer is sponsoring a local fundraiser called the "Gears of Joy" walk.  It's intended to bring awareness of local homelessness.  Design a T-Shirt that will be handed out to the participants. 

"Gears of Joy" window sticker - $100

The dealer wants a 7" Wide X 5"Tall window sticker that he can hand out at the "Gears of Joy" walk.
