Developing an idea

There's only one word that describes the development of an idea.  Process.  There's a process to development of an idea.

Consider the following questions:
What is your process for getting inspiration?
What is your process for making an idea more rich and full?
What is your process when you get stuck or come to a dead end?
What is your process for testing out an idea?
What is your process when you need to rethink an idea or go back to the drawing board?

These questions are the key to success in anything.  True genius is the act of developing an outstanding process and pairing it up with clear thinking and the courage to innovate.

You should have a process.  Planning is the determining factor of avoiding procrastination.  The successful people in the world plan for every eventuality and that means there is less chance of failure.

While we're on the subject.  What is your process for dealing with failure?

If you don't have a process you're hoping that things will work out for the best.  You are taking a chance that success will find you.  That's a very dangerous mindset to have.

You should study the techniques for achieving success that successful people use.  You should try to incorporate those techniques as you develop your process.  Write down your process to clarify your process.
