I Movie Trailer 
Objective:  Learn how to use the Imovie app.
Directions:  Using the Imovie app on your Ipad, create a trailer.  Use youtube to research how to use the app function that creates trailers.

Directions:  Watch a short film that is school appropriate.  Collect information about the movie that would be relevant for a presentation.  Include the cost of the movie production, interesting shots and film technique, the name of the director and any other pertinent information that you can present to the class.
Prepare a presentation and present it to the class.   
You may present your material "live" in class, or recorded.

Presentation: Indie Film
Objective:  Study the film techniques, production quality, processes, and other relevant information and apply that information to your craft.
Directions:  Watch an Independently produced film that is school appropriate.  Collect information about the movie that would be relevant for a presentation.  Include the cost of the movie production, interesting shots and film technique, the name of the director and any other pertinent information that you can present to the class.
Prepare a presentation and present it to the class.   
You may present your material "live" in class, or recorded.

Presentation: Film Technique
Objective:  Study the film techniques, production quality, processes, and other relevant information and apply that information to your craft.
Directions:  Watch a movie that is school appropriate.  Collect information about the movie that would be relevant for a presentation.  Include any film techniques and when they occur in the movie so you can reference them during your presentation. 
Prepare a presentation and present it to the class.

You may present your material "live" in class, or recorded.

Objective:  Study the film techniques, production quality, processes, and other relevant information and apply that information to your craft.
Directions:  Watch a Blockbuster movie that is school appropriate.  Collect information about the movie that would be relevant for a presentation.  Include the cost of the movie production, interesting shots and film technique, the name of the director and any other pertinent information that you can present to the class.
Prepare a presentation and present it to the class.   
You may present your material "live" in class, or recorded.

Presentation: Director
Objective:  Study the film techniques, education and experience of a director.  Integrate that knowledge into your craft.
Directions:  Research a director of your choosing.  Collect information about the director that would be relevant for a presentation.  Include a brief biography, notable film techniques the director is known for using, and any other pertinent information that you can present to the class.
Prepare a presentation and present it to the class.

Objective:  Review the lightning effect and improve on your skills in After Effects.

News Story: Classroom
Objective:  Develop skills in shot setup and selection, editing in Premiere, etc.
Directions:  Choose a classroom news story that interests you and report on it using proper camera techniques, lower thirds, and good editing techniques in Premiere.  Talk with the teacher to get permission.  Include things in the story that will put the teacher and student in the best light possible.  Tell the viewer about the classroom, teacher, students, etc.

Visit a Business
Objective:  Get a real world look at the application of classroom teaching
Directions: Visit a business and introduce yourself to the manager.  Ask the manager/owner what qualities they look for in an employee. Explain what you are doing for class and ask if you can observe their business for 15 minutes. Talk with the employees about their work. Write up a summary of your visit and post it on your blog

Man on the Street
Objective:  Develop interpersonal skills and interview skills.
Direction:  Go to a public place and ask someone you don't know if you can ask them a question.  Explain what you are doing for class.  Capture the exchange and place it on your blog. 

Report TED Talk
Objective: Develop presentation skills
Directions:  Listen to a TED talk at TED.com that has to do with design, technology, etc and is at least 15 minutes long then make a presentation to the class.  Include in your presentation the basic information about the talk.  Also, include your impressions about the material.  How will the content make the world a different place?  What are your thoughts about the subject?  Do you agree with the presenter?  Etc.
