2014 Fundraiser Accountability Assignment

It doesn't get any more real world than this assignment.  The Tax Credit is a great opportunity for parents to donate to their student's experience in Media Productions.  Our club uses the funds raised for equipment, field trips, competitions and other things that the students vote on.

Students will:  
  1. Take the provided Tax Credit form and present it to the parent or guardian.  
  2. Take video or a picture of giving the form to the parent.  
  3. Explain the Tax Credit opportunity or refer the parent to the pamphlet for an explanation.  
  4. Email the video/picture to Mr. Larsen.* 
 *If the student doesn't have a phone or camera one will be provided at the student's request.

 DUE DATE:  Email must be received before 11:59pm Wednesday the 17th of December.  

Donation Explanation:  
Please refer to the back of the provided pamphlet for a detailed explanation of the tax credit program.

In short:  The money given to Deer Valley SkillsUSA is used for equipment and competitions for the students.  All donations, regardless of the amount, are appreciated.

IMPORTANT:  
The assignment is an opportunity for the students to show responsibility in the form of an assignment with real benefit for the student.  The grade is only a reflection of completion of the assignment, not the result of a donation.
