Media Productions Final

Media Productions Final 2014

Your final project is an opportunity to put your skills on display.  You will walk away with a DVD that you can take home and show the family.

How will the Final be graded?
The rubric can be found on my blog.  It is the same one that is posted on January 29th for the News Report.  I will watch your DVD’s with the rest of the class during the week of finals.  After reviewing your project, I take into account your participation in class, the extras you’ve done for the announcement, school activities, and personal projects and give you a grade.  I’d refer you to the syllabus for the grading scale.

What should be in the final?
Your final must include:

  •  A Piracy Warning that plays as the first video on the DVD.
  • Your name and picture that plays as an intro to the first Menu.
  • A reflection of your experience from the year that plays as a movie.
  • Images and videos that represent a portfolio of what you learned throughout the year.
  • An original Photoshop menu and sub-menu.
  • Original transitions between menus that are created in after effects.
  • There are so many things that can be added to the menus to make them outstanding. Just a few things that might be added are: Video’s that play in the background, Video Buttons, Audio, Original buttons created in Photoshop.
  • The DVD buttons must all work.

The reflection1 minute in length.
The reflection is a 1 minute video or audio recording that is placed on a timeline and linked to a button on the main menu.
The reflection is an opportunity to “show and tell” me what you learned during class about the phrase “learn how to learn”.  You may use words, audio, pictures and other media to communicate what role failure plays in learning and what you’ve done this year to overcome challenges and stretch yourself.  Tell me experiences you've had.

The portfolio:
This project is a portfolio.  You may link your images, video’s, and other media you’ve created to buttons in the menus for me to review and for your parents to see.
